The Mount Vernon Youth Bureau's READY4Life Program is a federally funded program serving youth in Mount Vernon in grades 9-12.  It is a 6-week program meeting twice a week in two different cohorts. Youth will engage in group discussions and activities focused on communication, conflict resolution, anger and stress management, problem solving, benefits of a healthy relationships and marriage, domestic violence, child maltreatment, and having positive mental health.

Youth will receive a $100.00 gift card for the completion of program and will have the option to attend field trips designed to give them an experience they will remember.  The program is also staffed with case managers who will assist youth and families throughout their time in the program.

Program Goals

Ready4Life provides comprehensive services to 1,100 High School students grades 9 - 12.
  • Help youth build healthy relationship skills
  • Support young people's positive social-emotional development
  • Support young people's successful transition to young adulthood
